Through the years I've enjoyed some good movies. Most of them through ASPIRE or Hallmark. Movies tell stories and stories can be unforgettable.
They have the ability to draw us to a place of vulnerability, transparency, and reflection.
Sometimes we see glimpses of ourselves, friends or family in them. Others, reminders of moments in time that are worthy to capture our attention over and over. Some create an emotional roller coaster, causing us to make promises, declarations and even block out pain and hurt.
In many ways I've discovered that perhaps stories are a strong component of ministry. We all have stories of our lives. Ones that bear witness of who God is, has been and will be.
Since the beginning of time we've heard, read and shared stories. And they have offered encouragement, inspiration, and hope to each of us who desire to know God better.
This ministry seeks to take our stories and boast about the goodness of God. Remind us how He brought us through deep rivers, troubled waters, mountains and valleys. He empowered us to renew our joy, revive our hope, and rebuild our faith , giving us just what we need to "overcome by the word of our testimony".
So embrace this journey with us. Find a story that grips your soul. Or better yet, share your story with us. You'll find when you do someone else becomes a conqueror.
